Hello: I am new to the list with a 1960 dual-axle 26' trailer
which I think is an Overlander. How do I verify this? Our son gave us the
trailer as a an anniversary gift 6 years ago. He found it in LA where it had
been in a seaside trailer park {Pacific Palisades] for over 20 years, serving as
a home for a couple. Here on the farm in Wisconsin it has suffered from the
shift in weather, with leaks, rodents, etc a burgeoning problem. I am just now
getting around to working on it and would appreciate any and all input,
especially re diagrams of electrical system and plumbing, best methods to
rodent-proof the bellypan, how to replace the window seals which are shot, and
where to get an egress vent to replace the one which blew off, crank and all,
and is now covered with plywood and roofing tar.
When electric is hooked up, by the way, the skin on trailer
occassionally gives a shock. I have tried different methods of grounding the
trailer with no success. Ideas?
We live in Western Wisconsin, small farm, lovely area,
visitors welcome.
thanks,
Paul Schaefer
