It is a molded plastic piece that fits between the flat bottom of the AC upper unit and the roof of your Airstream. It provides a more solid mount for the AC and gathers condensation moisture to a central drain line built into (supposedly) all Airstreams since 1962. It can be purchased from any Airstream dealer.
