[VAC] Re: Had to go with plexiglass

You can bend it 45-90 degrees, mold it and make all kinds of cool stuff with it.
If your trying to use it for a small window that is riveted in the frame will keep the bow in the lexan.
If your doing a large curve you do a couple of things;
   1- If its in a frame you can trim it to size on the sides the leave about a 1/2" @ top/bottom
       pick up holes in the middle on either side and cleco it in place and work to the top then bottom
       this will allow you to make the lexan form to the frame.
   2- If you have a roller, like at a sheetmetal shop, you can leave the protective film on the lexan and run it thru until
       you get the desired contour
   3- Apply heat and shape it. Note if you use a torch it will yellow, if you get to close.
You can take it for what its worth, but I work in a sheetmetal shop on C-130's and have changed a few windows on them.
