Last Saturday at Lowe's I noticed a 2.5 gallon heater, complete with
relief valve for $115. Its about 16" square by 10". Just the thing, I
think, for keeping hot water at a sink in the new house that's a
distance from the main hot water heater. Not instantaneous, was rated at
6.2 gph recovery, 1300 watt heating element. Electric, 120 volts.

Unless you include a thermostatic mixing valve or figure a way to push a
great deal more water through that flash boiler the 190 degree water
would be disastrous to direct hand contact. Instant scald, deep burns.
