[VAC] Re: Vulkem

I have used it but you must be sure to set your bead and leave it alone.
I smoothed some out and where is pushed up on panel it turned a direty
yellow in a couple months and couldn't get the dam stuff off. Couldn't
find the below stuff at the time .
I would suggest you get some Alcoa Aluminum Pigmented GutterSeal (grey
color) to seal the seams. Try to find a auto parts stores or call Aluminum
Co of America, 1501 Alcoa Bldg. Pittsburgh PA 15219, 1-412-553-400l and
ask for distributor for your area and call them for those they are selling
to. When you use it carefully run a small bead at joint and let it "wick"
into the seam for a short spell. Do not try to touch it up or use
fingers or
tool on it when wet as you will just make a mess of things. Let it dry
and
then go back and correct your mistakes. It has been used on Airstreams
for
years. Practice it bit to get familiar with it before hitting the
trailer.
