[VAC] Re: Algae in Fresh Tank
Yuk! Same thing happened to us, thorough (except the faucet part). I
removed the tank, and put some skinny brushes on the end of a rod, and
made a high pressure sprayer out of 3/8" copper tubing (smashed the end
flat to make the nozzle), and then poked all these in the 3 tank
orifices till cleaned. The tank was our only problem, so the
chlorination took care of the rest (2 cups bleach per tank full,
followed by 1/2 cup baking soda per tank, followed by one plain tank,
all pumped through the lines).
We have since added a charcoal drinking water filter and chlorinate once
a year in the spring.
