Gary,

I have a '69 Overlander.  I have the round handle.  Last time I was in
Jackson Center, I noted that they had two such door handles in the airstream
store.  While they will not ship, any Airstream dealer can order parts for
delivery from the factory.  It may be worth a try.

Use Olympic rivets for body repairs. Olympic rivets are rounded and retain
the pin which is polished to look very close to the original AS buck rivets.
It requires a special tool.  Use vulkem to seal the metal joints. Both are
available on www.airstreamdreams.com. Your metal working undertaking a task
beyond my experience.
