[VAC] Re: Now more Argosy questions

I've towed mine with a Chevy station wagon with no problems through Iowa's
sometimes steeply rolling prairie at pretty close to the speed limit, but
I'd want more than the 305 4v it's powered with for mountain touring. A
half-ton van or truck should pull it fine as far as suspension, wheelbase,
trans (get a big trans cooler) etc are concerned. Engine needs depend on
your expectations. If you've got a low axle ratio and don't need to climb
hills fast, you can get by with whatever you've got. But bigger engines and
low axel ratios will be more satisfying long-term. If you've already got the
vehical, hook it up and pull, and see what you think. If you're going to buy
new, get the big engine and the trailer package--it will have the cooler and
the low ratio on it.
