I guess the thing I don't understand is if you want to know what how hot the 
transmission is why would the sensor be installed after the fluid has been 
cooled?
Wouldn't you want to put it at it's hottest point? 
The fittings and nylon washers sound like a more user friendly alternative 
than soldering. I do a lot of repairs on a lot of things but messing with the 
trans. on a relatively new vehicle is better left to the pros. The money I 
would be saving doing it myself would be spent on the towing bill to the 
service center and the labor to correct my mistakes.
