I alleviated the problem of the transmission heating up while parking in a
campsite by putting an electric fan in front of the cooler with a manual
switch. Whenever it started getting hot, mainly when parking or moving
slowly, I would flip the switch and you could literally see the temperature
drop on the gauge!
