Terry,
You are now very close. From what I can discern in your post there is a
black and white feed (2 wires), a fan feed (4 wires), a switch circuit (6
wires), and the light fixture (8 wires)
Is sounds like the switch circuit is independent of all the other wiring.
Find the black and white wire that goes to the switch. these wires should be
considered to be both black wires and should be marked as such. One wire
goes to the live black wires in one wirenut and the other marked black white
wire to the black wire of the light fixture. The white wire of the fixture
should be tied in to the white wires. In all there should be 3 wires in each
wirenut and one smaller wirenut for the fixture switch circuit.
