[VAC] Re: Tambour

Hi D Welch,

It comes in 4' X 8' rolls. Measure your area and tell that to Cliff. He might have a piece left over
from another job. By the way, you may be able to cut up one of your big pieces that are no longer
good as a big piece and then use it where you need smaller pieces.

When you put the plastic spirals back together, be sure to secure the woodwork so your alignment is
stable. You don't want the woodwork which supports the tracks to shift after traveling over bumpy
roads. That can cause the tambour to stick or seize or jam.

Most of the time when tambour doors are not free running, it's due to something simple like this.
You read the posting about a counter top that drifted south a few inches. That can cause problems
with tambour doors (but I don't know if they had tambour doors). Fix it right away and you won't
have to buy new tambour (expensive).
