Hi All,
I stopped at Restless Wheels, Inc. in Manassas VA a few
days ago and asked about hydraulic brake controllers. The answer was that
it's illegal to break an ABS line to install a hydraulic accessory. Guess
that's the reason there aren't many shops that will install them or have them in
stock. No probem with non-ABS equipped tow.
So, for those of you who can't find an old K/H hydraulic,
here's a source if you got the bucks.
Warner Hydraulic Utility Brake Control #1300-76 for up to 4 axles.
Built in resistor pack - $190 (special order).
The unit is intended for non-ABS trucks! Possibly a
dealership that deals with heavy truck stuff would have these in stock.
Pricy, but if you gotta have hydraulic . . .
