Rob,

The tanks I have seen were a shade of white not blue green but color is not
a very good indicator.  The plywood above the tank should be only the
trailer floor unless some trailers used a spacer above the tank???  It is
hard to know whether it is original or not until you remove it as A/S
apparently used many different components and changed them at various times.
Cracked holding tanks in older trailers is a common problem and if you
smelled an odor yours may be broken also.

The tank in my daughter's '72 Overlander was broken and also in my '66
Safari.  The archives are full of discussions about removing,
repairing/replacing tanks in vintage A/Ss.
