Jim, Good explanation. I was lurking and wondering also how 110 volt lamps could possibly be used in a 12vdc system. My '66 Safari has the 12vdc fixtures and 12vdc incandescent bulbs but I am considering replacing them with fluorescents when I begin using it. Harvey
