That's what I had. In order to remove it I took a piece
of old oak flooring and cut it to fit using the tongue to fit in the 2 opposing
notches in the black plastic union(?). It took a bit of effort. And
I don't see how your going to repair the tank especially if it's gotta be
plastic welded without taking it out. My leaks wear at the thetford valve
and at the vent port. Good luck.
