[VAC] Wheel Bearings, Seals, Brakes

Jill,

Unless the seller is someone you know and who is mechanically inclined and
preventive maintenance oriented or includes a receipt in the stack of papers
that is usually passed on indicating the wheel bearings were inspected and
repacked and the brakes were inspected and adjusted within the last year,
assume it needs to be done before you tow the trailer other than to an RV
repair service.  If it has been sitting for some time or in occasional use
for several years without bearing-brake maintenance you could experience a
dry bearing which, if undetected, could result in the loss of a wheel or a
destroyed axle spindle or both.  Either could be very costly and damaging.
