Jeff -
For 7k, i'd want it both complete, original, and
all appliances/systems (water/propane/12vdc/110vac) fully-functional. For $1500
for a trailer with a solid floor and intact skin...and about 3k for renovation,
you'd have that - plus the satisfaction of knowing that it's done, and done
correctly. If you haven't 'twigged it' already, airstreamers (particularly the
vintage crowd) enjoy the 'process' as much (if not more) than the thing
itself.
Do yourself another favor and get Burkhardt and
Hunt's "Airstream - History of the Land Yacht," check out the Iowaboys' website
- http://www.iowaboys.com/ - and
keep your eyes peeled - the airstream you're looking for will find you - it's a
kinda mystical thing...
