TRAILER IS 16 FEET LONG, LIGHTER AND UPDATED 

The maker of shiny silver Airstream trailers long associated with retirees 
wants to woo a younger crowd with a smaller model that's easier to tow and 
has a sleeker interior.

The new model will be 9 feet shorter than the standard 25-foot Airstream 
trailer and the same length as the company's Bambi model. But it will be 
500 pounds lighter, and the interior of earth-tone fabrics will be replaced 
with a contemporary design featuring laminated surfaces, rounded counters 
and a light, airy feel.
