Tom,
 I don't think it's necessary to equalize gel batteries, nor even
desirable. Equalizing is basically an over-charge, usually causing
gassing of the electrolyte, not something you want to do with sealed
batteries. The StatPower charger has a switch to select between "Wet"
and "Gel" types, but the Intellipower does not. I think I'd inquire with
Intellipower before putting one on a gel battery system.
