[VAC] Re: motorcycle attachment



Philip,
If you care about either your Airstream or your motorcycle, don't do it.
Neither of your options sound good. Putting it inside the trailer would
undoubtedly ruin at least a portion of the interior of the trailer. On the
other hand, putting it on the rear bumper could easily bend the frame. The
trailer's frame is not designed to carry that much weight so far to the rear
of the trailer. If you need some evidence, look to the frame separation
problems Airstream had when they first installed gray water tanks in the
70's.
Try one of these options:
#3 Rent or borrow a pickup, put the motorcycle in the bed and have a friend
drive it out.
#4 Make two trips.
