Wish I wasn't so busy at work so I could have responded to this post 
earlier.

Scott is right, if it is really 17' bumper to ball, it is a Pacer, made 
in 1958,1959 & 1960.

There wasn't another 17 footer made until the 17' Bambi II in 1964, 
which became the Caravel in 1965.  Pacer serial #'s were:
SS100 to SS141 for 1958
SS 9 001 to SS 9 328 for 1959
SS 0 327 to SS 0 427 for 1960.

1961 brought the new body style 16' Bambi with the Dura-Torque axle.

Pacer description is: Front Couch over metal pressurized water tank. 
Portable 2-height table (no dinette). Gas only Fridge. 16 1/2' bumper to 
ball. Dometic 3 burner stove. Princess single galley sink. Water heater 
in closet. Double bed along curbside wall, tapered in aft corner. Toilet 
only.

Still trying to determine if the Pacers were nameplated (I think they 
were).
