Even though this IS a rare Vintage Airstream.
The auction reflects IMO, two problems.

One, the time of year, cost them half their potential bidders.
Two, this is a '48 with no bathroom facilities, further reducing the number
of bidders

Certainly a nice trailer but still not worth $17K
A reserve next spring of $12K I would venture, will probably get a sale.

Might even do a little better driving it out to the LA area.
