Dear Harvey,
I have a 72 Overlander with the same affliction.  I took them out and
reglued them with contact cement.  Now most of them work fine.  I did the
ones under the couch and the ones under the sink and the ones overhead in
the bedroom and the one in the bathroom.
It's been a year and they still work.
It's a lot cheaper than new stuff and not hard to do.
