Dave- I have just bought a '54 Safari and was planning to pull it with a 
beautifully restored '51 3100 chevy pickup.  I know its as heavy as your
Dakota but only has about 100 or less HP.  The rear end is original so it
really likes to cruise at 45-50 mph.  With good trailer brakes am I going to
be ok?  I kept thinking- what the hell did they pull these things with in
1954? Jim
