[VAC] New to a '64 Globetrotter - pulling with a toyota.

Here's my 2 cents.

#1 In the 50's and 60's we pulled these things with
cars. long wheel base, big motor, load levelers.

I'm hoping to pull a 1960 24 footer with a 64 buick
electra, or a 1960 cadillac.

#2 you can pull an airstream with just about anything
-- given certain circumstances.

although I'm in agreement with the statement,
"sometimes people want to marry their tow vehicle," (I
doesn't have to be that way.) Although it sometimes
seems that people go overboard with regard to what
they actually *need* to pull their trailer, it is in
the realm of increased safety.

Safety is a good thing -- I don't think I'd pull
*anything* but a fold-up utility trailer with a
4runner - an airstream would push that sucker around
in a wind - and aside from the danger it introduces to
the driver (who may be safely seat-belted in to the
front seat) it introduces danger to everyone else on
the road too - me, in my little honda del sol, pulling
up to another airstreamer to wave - a big wind picks
up and I'm history.

My belief is, marry the airstream (c: , then do the
right thing, be safe...
