[VAC] Toyota towing advice, 19' GT

They told me this was the place to come with my questions, and this group
provided a lot of great advice. Thanks.

I've been faxed a copy of a '64 GT 19' manual that puts the weight at 2890
lbs. and the hitch weight at 385 lbs. Toyota's 1990, 4x4 1/2 ton (which is
what I've got, with 22R 4 cyl.) gives a tow limit of 3500 and a hitch
weight of 385.

It's a beefy little truck, geared to crawl and climb and it rides high, but
as everyone's said, it's a little, light truck. I've got until spring to
move this Globe Trotter and I'll investigate my options. Plenty of folks
around with larger vehicles and I may just cut a deal with a friend to
install the brake on their V8 full-size Ford pick-up or an Explorer. The
nice thing about this smaller trailer is that I could likely do fine with a
heavier vehicle even with just a V6, so I've got lots of options.

I look forward to getting more advice in the future and hopefully sharing
some of my own down the road.
