Talking to an Airstream dealer this morning, they say all the new beds are spring
types.  She also said the old ones were foam, but could be "upgraded" to springs.


They had a pair for me at 195 per, but they were cut on the corners, for an
aft bed set-up. Mine are center.

They also said the new beds are 34x75..I believe, which would explain why yours
overhang.  My frames are 32x77 1/2.

I will investigate a local mattress place, and someone else has said that the
bed might be a standard size for truckers bunks!

I'll have to investigate further.

Now, I have quite an interesting story that goes along with this '69 Overlander...seeing
that it was in a ............nudest colony!!!!!

If you all don't mind my longish storytellin'..like Terry asked..I'll give you
all the details! The whole "skinny" so to speak!
