 There's no reason why the cooling unit itself can't last (literally)
forever, there's no "wear out" to it. The one thing besides vibration
that might cause problems is rust-through, it seems that Dometic hasn't
used the best paint on the cooling coils, fins, etc. on the rear of the
unit. The ones I've seen are quite rusty.

More trouble is caused by the burner system than the cooling unit
itself, as long as it's never run out of level.

My M-in-L has a Servel gas refrigerator that's been in operation for at
least 50 years, and it still works great. However, it's not subjected to
vibration, it's ALWAYS operating, and it's in her house. The latter 2
factors work to prevent serious rusting.
