Re: [VAC] power and water

Welcome to the world of trailers. you have discovered one of the many
universal truths of Airstream and are on your way to total consciousness.
the first truth is ' nothing fits'
what your power cord most likely is a 110 volt (normal house current) 30
amp RV plug you will need to purchase an adapter for it to make it fit into
a 'normal' house outlet BE ADVISED that a household plug is generally no
more then 15 amps which is fine for lights, battery charging etc., but not
enough for high demand items as electric heaters, air conditioners, etc. the
adapter lets you plug into an outlet. Also remember this
if you run a long extension cord make sure it is properly sized (big
enough). check the cords label.
I think you need a good general RV book. A trip to the library is in order
