I ran into a similar problem on my parents A/S and it turned out to be a bad 
connection on the fuse panel(it was in the 12v power supply on theirs). I 
believe maybe the rivet or screw on the fuse holder itself had corroded or 
was loose not allowing current to flow.  Phil
