Kathryn,
 Gerald gave you good advice. Drive it around for a day or 3 before
hitting the road, if at all possible. Vary the speed as much as you can.
Change the oil after a couple or 3 hundred miles and take it easy during
the first 1000 miles after that, especially while towing. Make sure that
all the hoses and wires are connected and that everything works,
including the A/C (if it worked before).
