Re: [VAC] retrofitting my 1955 22' flying cloud with modern amenities

Wayne,
When I bought my trailer I had to replace the door latch too. A RV repair
place installed a new one for around $60. I couldn't find a stock original
type so he used a flush square pull out one that a lot of the new RV's have,
by cutting a square hole in the edge of the door. It looks great and blends
right in with the door. Now if I can figure out where I put those darn
keys!
As far as an awning goes, Zip Dee builds a roll up awning that's side arms
curve around and over the top of the side walls in a choice of 150 fabrics.
My choice, a pink and grey virtical stipped retro look but the cost? $1200,
so it will have to wait for now. Now I have a silver and gold stripped rope
and pole awning, very sharp and retro looking, 15' for $150 which will have
to do until my husband Horace the hoarder dies.
Just Kidding!
