Hey Joan,
Are you referring to your stove top?
There is a pilot light under the stove top cover.
The on/off valve is beneath the stove top cover.
It should be turned off when traveling.
In the "on" position, the valve handle is lined up
with the propane line.
In the "off" position, the valve handle is
perpendicular to the propane line.
Does this help? Or, are you talking about
something else?
