Cork is flexible up to a point, then *will* snap. Most cork floor tiles 
are made of ground cork compressed and bonded with resins, etc., so the 
exact amount of acceptable flex varies with the particular product. Some 
reasonable care may be called for during installation (as with any tile, 
order at least 10% overage for trimming and goofs) but in no case should 
a cork tile designed for flooring "break" once installed on the substrate.
