To anyone that  is considering "new" insulation:

Stick your hand in a bag of "shipping peanuts" for 5 minutes and notice the 
insulative abilities.

won't expand, doesn't break down if wet, is cheap, commonly available, VERY 
light weight.

Just gotta think about how to get it in the walls, but I'm sure I'll figure out 
something.
