Re: [VAC] wiring

hello Stephen: reply to the bambi wiring being it is cut off at the plug. it
may be best to rewire from the terminal block.(if you have one). if not
purchase one. it makes a nice neat connection for proper wiring. best to pick
up color coded wire to replace the damaged wires. this should be available at
a truck parts supply. i believe it is between # 10-14/7 stranded copper wire
with outer insulation. don't forget the emergency brake controller. (usually
mounted to the inner frame rail of trailer hitch.)
                camper/trailer supply.
also pick up some dialectic paste at electric supply. this is to keep out
corrosion at all electric wire connections.now you should have the new plug
to mate the tow vehicle.
newer trailers seem to have the blade type. my 1956 had the pin type. i, am
changing to blade type due to being most common with tow vehicles today.
(the big rig trucks use the pin type)
this should be most if not all the parts needed it all depends on your
workmanship. if not handy seek help.but do and learn watch and forget.also
keep notes on what color wire has what function for later reference.
i hope this helps. from:
