hello Stephen: you did not say if it is the jeep or the camper with cut 
wireing.for the jeep i believe there is an adapter you add into the wire 
harness at the pin connector to rear lights.you will still need to run batt. 
pos. from (elec.) trailer brake system.and a good ground wire. i seem to 
remember this being #8 stranded copper wire. as for the (elec.) brake 
controller follow mfg. specs. should be a circuit breaker in the system. also 
there should be a batt. pos. to supply trailer for 12v. needs. hope this 
helps on the jeep wiring if needed.
