Re: [VAC] Jodi and John 72 Overlander

Hi Dana Kelley,

In your note, you mentioned a number of things still needing
repair. If it was me, that water leak (hard job maybe) would
be my first priority, with adjusting the brakes next (easy job).
All else would pale in comparison to importance. That's just my
perspective.

Your comment about having the water leak fixed SOONER OR LATER
was like a red flag for me. By all means, choose sooner. There is
too much damage that can be caused by a water leak that's not
fixed immediately (been there, done that and was sorry for it).

You didn't ask for my opinion, so I won't be bent out of shape
if you tell me to bug off. There is pride in the sound of your
written words. Being a restorer can do that. If you aren't
careful, it can become addictive.

One other point. In your note, you said, "Can you buy parts very
easy for the hot water heaters? If not I guess we could heat
water for a jay bird bath. Ha! We learning with ours not being
campers yet."

You guys are doing just fine. Jay bird showers are standard
procedure when using your own water supply. Some of our
relatives think we're living in the stone age when we tell
about such things. But, they like sitting at home in front of
the TV and not being sweaty or getting dirt under their
fingernails. Being an Airstreamer requires creative flexibility
and spontaneous ingenuity. Jay bird showers is part of that.

Stay at it. July is only a month away. The good times are about
to roll.
