I like it--have always liked the idea of a portable installation (so the 
panel could be moved out of the shade), but if you do that with a rigid 
panel you can't just "throw it on top" when that's the best place. I 
guess the only downsides are a) you can't use it while moving (or in high 
winds?) and b) it's easier for someone to walk off with.

How flexible are those panels? E.g., how tightly could they be rolled (if 
at all) for storage?
