hello Tim: from Joe Campbell and his 56 overland in reply to lexan windows i, 
am changing mine to the same                        `except tinted. the 
original glass was not safety glass `
 as for installation my glass is held in with an angle piece on the inside. 
holding glass against the outer frame. it cant fall out. i believe i have 
3/16 or 1/4 . we hope this helps                     from Joe #2281 `
