Re: [VAC] 1963 Globe Trotter ????'s

Weatherstripping for window panes:
The window seal can be obtained from Hehr Int'l (517) 845-3061, ask for
Carmen. Cost is $0.42 a foot. P/N is 009-311 for the gray.

The window frame weatherstripping:
Wal-Mart, 1/4" rubber automotive EDPM bulb seal made by Manco.

Door weatherstripping:
Your A/S dealer or C&G Trailer Service at 562-634-6286. Costs about
$1.39 a foot.

Clearance Lite seals:
Cut from sheet of 1/8" rubber (hardware store item) using utility knife
and sand edges to shape using electric sander. Punch holes using
leather punch.

Globetrotter emblem:
Access is from inside, so your have to remove inner skin (bad idea).
Best bet is to touch up in place using Dremel.

Leaks can come from everywhere. Only way is to go over every inch after
you polish, resealing every seam and joint and water entry point. The
original sealant has out-lived it's lifespan. As you go through
restoring the GT you will find all sorts of places, especially at the
cusp (floorline).

Make sure you check in with a AS Dealer - many have old parts left, and
many of the new still fit. Another necessity is a well stocked hardware
store. You will become very creative.
Best of Luck,
RJ & Krista
