RE(2): [VAC] Plasticote/Polish/Buff
Bob,
I found Bix Extra Strength at home depot. Cost about $17 a gal. and said
aircraft safe on the front. I'm about 90% done on a 29 footer and starting on
gallon four. I've found that after the initial coat on some of the real tough
spots it helps to use a kitchen style plastic??? brillo pad to scrub with. (
The pad didn't get eaten by the chemicals??). Dip it in the stripper and scrub
while the stripper application is still slightly moist. Of course use goggles
and chemical resistant gloves. The front center panel on my coach must have had
a good 1/4 inch thick clear coat on it and along the side bottom trim.
They weren't kidding about stripper eating reflector lenses. My
replacements are from Walmart at $1 each.
