My 1970 28' ambassador is listed at 5500 lb. dry weight and has 400 lb..
of tong weight, I use a Reese load leveler with receiver type hitch.  The
hitch is mounted on 1.5 inches of solid steel.  I do not recommend using
any type of bumper hitch on anything over 20'.   I would let a friend
with the proper equipment tow it or lots of luck
