in reply to all that have the tandem axle arrangement great! the advantage is 
all yours. but so many times it is said that when you do have a low or flat 
tire you don, t know it until some kind commuter tells you. this is a sign 
that we all need to be aware at all times. also be prepared. if out on the 
long empty road one flat on a tandem akle can lead to two in a mater of 
minutes due to the departure of the first tire. (if not found in a reasonable 
amount of time) check at (all) stops. not only road debree, but poor wheel 
bearing maintenance can create the night to rember. from Joe Campbell and his
