Argosy was built by Airstream. I had a 1973 20ft. Argosy that I just sold. A
lot of the interior was the same as my 1973 31ft. Airstream. The Argosy has
steel end caps and Airstream has aluminum. The Argosy is a painted unit and
Airstream is a polished aluminum unit. Some ponder over whether Argosy had
Airstream cast off exterior panels that were blemished so they had to be
painted.
Yes, Argosy does qualify for WBCCI membership within the past few years. This
unit will also qualify for the Vintage Airstream Club as well as it was built
by Airstream.
If you look at the unit and like it personally I'd have no reservations on
getting it providing it passes an inspection.
