Well put Jim.  No hate mail from me, just kudos for realism.  Gopher
holes are the ultimate in recycling.  Not in urban areas of course.
Well positioned and rotated often, they help the soil and create the
richness necessary for a good organic garden.  Much better than land
mines from a big Labrador.
