This works wel with license plates where the lettering is raised, my rear tag 
is not pressed and has no raised surface except for the "painted"? letters 
just the height of the "paint"?  I hadn't tried removing any paint, because 
its the only thing on the tag.

Does anyone know if they were origanally paint or a vinyl? lettering?
