Alex,

I believe that your headliner is aluminum. Therefore it would of been
originally painted with Zolotone. No doubt a previous owner did not like the
look and repainted. The newer units have a vinyl covering. Yes there is some
insulation between the inner and outer skins, but it is not nearly enough
for year round living in the northern climates.
