The Optima is the best battery... (Yellow top)   but you might have to
change other stuff to take advantage of its capabilities... (they are able
to take a high charge to recover faster)... they can be discharged lower
than other batteries   (10.5 volts) with out damage... they have very low
sulfation so they can be left in a discharged state longer without damage...
they don't freeze... a damaged (cracked) battery can still by used... (tape
it up) dosen't leak.... will work with a standard lead acid charger...
(don't need to set special voltages)  The only difference between the Optima
Yellow top (deep cycle) and the Optime Blue top (Marine /Deep cycle) is the
top cover....different connection posts... but you pay about 15.00 extra for
that....expect to pay about 135.00 for the Yellow Top...The Optima Yellow
top is 10x6-7/8x 7 13/18  (lwh)

Trojan is a good battery but standard construction .... (35 connections vs
about 7 in the Optima)
and needs attention if you charge the water out of it.....Expect to pay
about 80.00 for the Trojan....

Give Battery Specialists a call ...they are very knowledgeable....and handle
both batteries....
